Terms of Use

Short version: GradeLens gives you an estimate of how your work might be marked. It is not your grade, it is not official, and it is not a substitute for doing the work. By using it you agree to the points below.

Last updated 10 October 2026 · Privacy Policy · Terms of Use

1. What GradeLens is, and is not

GradeLens predicts how a piece of IB MYP work might be marked, based on marked work that students chose to contribute, and gives written feedback. Predictions are estimates. They can be wrong. Your teacher's mark is the only official one, and the school and the IB decide all grades. GradeLens is a personal project by a student at Mahindra International School; it is not run, endorsed or checked by the school or the International Baccalaureate.

2. Who may use it

GradeLens is for students. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the agreement of a parent or guardian. Accounts are personal: keep your password to yourself and do not share or sell access. We may limit sign-ups to invited users.

3. Academic honesty

Use GradeLens to understand and improve your own work. Follow your school's and the IB's academic integrity rules. GradeLens does not write work for you, and you must not present its feedback or predictions as a teacher's assessment. If your school tells you not to use tools like this for a task, that instruction wins.

4. What you may upload

  • Only your own work, or marked work you are allowed to share (for example your own returned assignment).
  • Nothing that contains another person's personal data beyond a teacher's name and their written feedback on your work.
  • Nothing illegal, abusive, or designed to damage the service or mislead the model.

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You give us permission to store and process it to run the service and, in a form that does not identify you, to improve the prediction model, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can withdraw this by deleting your account.

5. Teachers

GradeLens never rates, ranks or grades teachers. Patterns shown on a teacher's page describe the work that scores well, are built only from several students' marked work, and never quote a teacher's comments. A teacher who wants a page changed or removed can e-mail [email protected].

6. Availability and liability

GradeLens is provided free, as it is, by one person. It may be slow, unavailable, changed or shut down at any time, and the model may be retrained, which can change predictions. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss that comes from relying on a prediction, from downtime, or from losing data. Keep your own copies of your work.

7. Ending access

We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms, harms other users or the service, or has been inactive for a long time. You can delete your account at any time by e-mailing us.

8. Law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If we change them in a way that matters, the date at the top will change and signed-in users will see a notice; continued use means you accept the new version. Questions: [email protected].
