For schools

Better drafts, before they are marked.

GradeLens gives IB MYP students rubric-based feedback on their drafts while they can still act on it. Teachers keep the official mark.

Built by a student at Mahindra International School. An independent project, not affiliated with or endorsed by the IB.

For students

What students get.

A second reader for every draft, working from the same rubric the teacher uses.

  1. Feedback before the deadline

Students check a draft against the task sheet and the rubric while there is still time to improve it.

  2. Levels for each criterion

An estimate on the 0–8 scale for every criterion the task assesses, with how sure it is. When the evidence is weak, no number is shown.

  3. Three changes to make

Specific revisions tied to the rubric's wording, so students know what to work on next.

  4. Written work, pages and recordings

Typed drafts, photos or scans of handwritten pages, and recorded presentations.

For teachers

What stays with teachers.

  • The teacher's mark is always the official one. GradeLens never changes, submits or reports anything in a school system.
  • Teachers are not rated, ranked or named publicly.
  • Students do their own revision. GradeLens suggests what to improve; it does not write the work.

Privacy

How student work is protected.

  • Only the student can open their own work, levels and feedback.
  • Nothing is sold, there is no advertising, and work is never shown to other students, parents or teachers.
  • Uploaded files are encrypted and stored in Mumbai. The database is in Singapore.
  • Students can ask for everything to be deleted. It is gone within 30 days.
  • Improving the grader uses only an anonymised copy with no link to the student, and any student can opt out.

The full detail is in the privacy policy.

Honest limits

An estimate, not a grade.

A predicted level describes one draft against one rubric. It can be wrong, and it should never be used as an official result or for assessment decisions.
